Old florida bayfront cottage in historic ferry landing tucked away in ferry landing, a non-gated enclave of just 18 old florida-style homes in sanibel's historic east end, this one-of-a-kind cottage sits on a sleepy shell road with sweeping bayfront views of pine island sound. Designed by an artist who thought of every exquisite detail, the home was taken down to the studs and rebuilt with bead board, shiplap, and dade county yellow pine floors, with not a drop of drywall in sight. The result is true old florida character. Step in from the front porch and a solid wall of glass doors frames the bay. The living room offers multiple sitting areas, anchored by a charming shell-encrusted fireplace for those rare cool evenings. An antique library ladder leads to a cozy nook your grandchildren will love to read or share secrets. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, there's room for family and friends to gather and make lasting memories. The kitchen blends classic cottage charm with modern convenience, featuring a generous drainboard sink, concrete countertops, and stylish white cabinetry. Wake up in the primary suite to expansive bay views and step onto the open balcony for morning coffee over the water. The spacious spa-like bath features a freestanding soaking tub surrounded by carrara marble and a separate shower. Ferry landing residents enjoy a community heated pool, tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard, and private deeded beach access.
